Shri Trivati Nath Temple

Location: Macnair Road, Prem Nagar, Bareilly

Trivati Nath is one of the best-known and most developed temples in the city. According to temple tradition, a shepherd saw Lord Shiva in a dream and later discovered a naturally manifested Shivling beneath three banyan trees. The name “Trivati” is understood as a reference to these three sacred trees.

The temple has a spacious complex containing shrines dedicated to Shiva, Parvati, Ganesha, Hanuman and other deities. A large statue of Lord Shiva is also a major attraction. Devotees visit in especially large numbers during Sawan Mondays and Mahashivratri.
